I have tried no count - gained, have tried smart points - gained!
My weight yesterday morning was 126.5kg - making a 6.6kg weight loss overall.
Non scale victories however include needing to buy a new pair of size 22 jeans from Evans, however they appear to have stopped selling the wide leg pear jeans at the moment so I just have to keep with the size 24 jeans that I have and keep puling them up! Another NSV includes being able to shop for tops in Primark - long sleeve tops I have to buy in a size 20 because of my flabby biceps, but the short sleeve tops I can buy in a size 18 and to be honest, I think they are starting to get too big for me!
So, what can I do to get back on track?
I need to track all of the food I eat - have done that for today and still have enough points to have a slice of artic roll if I am still hungry after tea tonight. I have already tracked my meals for tomorrow, just need to keep an eye on the bits in between.
I need to get back to exercising - have not been to aquafit since before Christmas. However, since not going, my knee has not ached. But last week I was in the Yorkshire Dales for just over 24 hours and walked around a lot of waterfalls and my step count went from on average 6000 steps per day to just under 12000 steps in the 24 hours I was there. If you count in the fact that I also drove over 500 miles in the 2 days, my right knee and leg now hurt if I have been sitting for too long or if I walk too far!
My plan is to return to swimming, just not aquafit for the time being. Our local leisure centre has a monthly swim plan - rolling month on month £25 or sign up for a 12 month contract £21.50 per month. With a swim costing £4.20 each time, you would only have to swim 4 or 5 times per month depending which one you signed up to, to have made it pay. My plan is to swim on my way home Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. If i ever get back to aquafit, that's on a Tuesday and then look to have a small walk on a Sunday. This should start to give me some weight loss and toning.
As part of the swimming, I also hope to help with this challenge - Swim Around Britain - which is more about keeping fit when you have an illness that can limit your sport choices and not looking for sponsorship.
I have also looked at buying some hand weights to work on my biceps - there are lots of short/quick exercise plans on both Pinterest and YouTube so I am hoping that I can manage them as well during the week.
I know I have said this before, and I will no doubt say it again (and again!) but I need to loose this weight. It is starting to tell on my joints and I really do hate to look at myself in the mirror or have a photo taken.
Time to hit the rest button and make a start!
