Yet Another New Start!

So it will be two years on Tuesday since I started this blog! And what have I achieved? Well not a lot really!

Had high hopes of loosing the vast amount of weight that I have  and if I had managed to loose just a pound a week since that day I would be just 2 stone from goal now!

But if you've read any of my previous post you will see that basically I have just kept hitting that reset button!

So where am I?

I have lost a total of 6.3 kg (13 lb 14 oz in old money) - so I am lighter than when I started however most of that has been in the past 7 weeks when I signed up to go back to meetings as well as online - I needed someone to be accountable to I think and thought that this would be the best way.

Our village has started a Saturday morning class but I didn't want to go to that as when I fail the whole village will know! So I do go to a Saturday class but over at work - it gets me to work about 10:30 so I do have some me time on a Saturday rather than all work!

I have decided to cancel my swim membership as I haven't really used it in the past 12 months and it was just money wasted (in fact I have switched our broadband provider, changed our mobile phone contract and have paid off my phone and will have an extra £100 + a month!)

My exercise has been the Happy Mile Walk. It takes about 15 minutes and has helped me a lot. I try and do it 4 times a week and since I have been doing it the weight is starting to come off. In fact went for a walk with hubby today and I was the one out front most of the time - usually I am lagging far behind!

I have also increased my fluid intake - according to a water app I should be drinking approximately 3.7 L per day so I try and get to 4 L to help.

Weight Watchers has changed their diet recently to something called Flex. It seems to have a lot more zero heroes and is between Smart Points and No Count - there is a thread on the Fat Club Connect board today which seems to be hinting that No Count will be disappearing in the next few weeks - lots of discussion about that is ongoing.

The main staples of Flex is eggs, chicken breasts, fat free greek yoghurt and fish. All things I can manage although too many eggs will constipate me! I have been tracking more over the past couple of weeks and I have lost 5 lb which has made me happy.

I can't get to class this week as I will be in York from Friday lunchtime - lots of alcohol, lots of food but also hopefully lots of walking too!! I will however, weigh myself before I leave on Friday so I know where I am for this week. I hope to have had a loss this week and then try and rein it back in on Monday morning of the following week so that I can at least have a stay the same by the Saturday - fingers crossed!

So, is this my last reset? I doubt it, but I need to try and get there. I am being more selfish at work and leaving earlier than I have done for the past 3 years and this then gets me home so that I can do my walk - fingers crossed this will continue!

Will keep you updated

New Year, New Me!!!!!!!!!

So we have reached 2018 and I have gained weight this year rather than lost it  - oops!

This morning I have weighed in at 129.2kg - at least that is 4kg less than when I started this!

New Year resolution - loose weight (have lost count of how many times I have said that!)

Hoping to be more active, Fitbit buddy is a bit hit and miss although we are still together, but she has left Weight Watchers and isn't really loosing weight either.

So, food is planned today, planning on a walk, Fitbit is charged, 3L of fluid planned. Hoping to end the day with a blue dot for the blue dot challenge. May join the skiing bunny challenge too but my main challenge is to stay on plan and look to loose 1kg this week.

Weight Watchers plan has change to Flex and I need to see what I can do with it - love eggs but they constipate me so can not have one every day! Salmon I love, but can't afford to eat it every day! Happy with chicken and we do eat it most days. Will need to experiment with beans and lentils!

Watch this space!
