Reset Button Engaged!

So!

We are many more months down the line and so much has happened!

I managed to pick up a knee injury in September last year when I was preparing for a 10km night walk in aid of Cancer Research and since then life has been pretty much pants. I am only now - 14 months later-  starting to feel ok when walking and don't wake up in pain or worry that I won't be able to walk any distances - it was not fun in Rome last November and hubby was not the most sympathetic  - kept muttering "I'm going to get you a wheelchair!"

I have also recently twinged my back and that slowed me down too - think I need to admit, I am just falling apart!

So, what to do - I am back to my starting weight of 133 kg (when weighed at home) and I poured my heart out to a good friend the other evening about how down this is making me and she has offered to come to WW classes  with me - don't get me wrong, I am more than happy to go on my own, but she wants to loose 1 stone as well and so offered and if I bring a friend, we both get a free month - win, win in my books!

I bit the bullet last Saturday and weighed myself - 133.1 kg. I have blue dotted for 4 days in a row now and am off to class tomorrow night. I have been weighing myself in the mornings every day (not a good idea) to see how my weight is going this week as we will be weighing in the evening and I retain a significant amount of water throughout the day, so I am trying to gage my weight loss in a different way. I am currently 1.2 kg down in 5 days - not bad, lets hope my home weight on Saturday is a good one!

A new plan starts from Monday, so this week probably isn't the best time to go, but if we keep putting it off, we will never get there!

Home circumstances have changed - hubby finally has a new job but it means that he is away at least 2 nights a week, if not 4. He can leave the house on Monday morning and plan to be home that night and then not appear back until Friday evening! So things have changed in the fact that I am now trying to batch cook a load of meals to have at home to help me stay on track as he is the one who usually cooks in our house. Mind you, I think he is a feeder in disguise so maybe this is my chance to keep on track.

Fingers crossed it will work - I can't keep going on like this and the weight is a major issue with my knee and back as well as everything else it is doing to my body. I will start the happy mile once more, there is also a 20 minute fat burn walk which is good too.

I signed up to Race At Your Pace this year and am in the process of completing month 11 - each month I have chosen to walk 25 miles - some months I have only just scraped through, others I have managed it with no problems. The medals that you receive are lovely. I'm not sure if I will do it next year or not to maybe just set myself a target each month of reaching 25 miles or maybe more and then  give myself a non-food treat if I achieve it - will have to think about that!

So here's to seeing the reset button once more - I really do want to reach some mini weight loss targets this time around - fingers crossed it works!
