So, as usual, my hit and miss posts continue!
I have however created an instagram account - fatwhale17 - and post every day on there - more often than not its just a visual reminder of what I have eaten when I come to total up my points for the day - ideally I should be pointing before I eat though, that's something else to work on :)
I am now at a 12 lb weight loss and I am trying very hard to get the next 2 lb to get my first stone award this coming week at Fat Club. I had a bit of a blowout (I have called it doughnut gate!) on Friday and said a very quick goodbye to 29 SP in one sitting but I have tried exceptionally hard to not let it continue - this was one of the talks we had a couple of weeks ago at the weekly meeting. At the end of the day, it is only one episode out of a possible 21 meals, so draw a line under it and move on.
My meals this weekend have continued to be fairly high in points but I am just about bringing in the day's allowance around my SP limit or if not only just slightly over (and that's why we have weeklies to help with this).
Hubby may finally be on board - but I'm not holding my breath just yet! He said yesterday (and rightly so) that I have been failing at a diet for the past 30 years, so why bother now? As I explained to him, I am now 50 (that was an amazing birthday and I was thoroughly spoilt by the way) and I need to think about my health going forward. I want to be around to help him with his admin (a running joke in our house that that's why he married me!) and at that point he had panic in his eyes! LOL! I asked him to only give me 100g of sweet potato fries last night with tea and he did. He is asking me if I have enough points for something he is planning on cooking in a certain way and if I don't then he will cook it a different way. I'm hoping that this will continue!
Fluid retention continues to be my enemy - I was actually 19 stone 12 lbs last Thursday morning but my the time I got to Fat Club in the evening I was 20 stone 2 1/2 lbs - I need to find a morning weigh in somewhere.
I have a new job which starts at the beginning of April which is 78 miles away. This is going to involve at least 2 nights away from home every week if not 4 depending on annual leave of the rest of the team. I am going to do AirBnB for the time being but am hoping eventually to get somewhere on a regular basis for a bit less money where they will let me bring some freezer meals I have from home so that I can have some ping meals when I am staying. Otherwise I will plan on salads I think - I can pop to the local supermarket and pick up a bag of salad and cooked chicken or ham and have one for tea as well as make my pack up for the following day too. And if the weather is cold, then maybe some soups too.
Exercise wise, I need to increase my walking but I am getting there - I have walked 120 miles so far this year which is on target (just about) for the 1000 miles target at the moment - as long as i walk 83.3 miles each month then I will reach the target. My knee is holding up and I am starting to do some extra leg exercises as well - I do squats every morning while I am brushing my teeth, need to add them to my night time brushing too and have just started doing some straight leg raises each day as well, not many on each leg at the moment but they will increase too. Haven't really done any targeted walking for the night walk since January but to be honest, the weather has been pants and I haven't wanted to go out and walk. I know - the weather in November is unlikely to be very good but that's my excuse and I will stick to it :). I need to think about adding the Happy Mile back into my daily routine as well.
Lots to achieve in the coming weeks, let's see if I can manage it all!
